Job summary

Bob's Discount Furniture is seeking a Recycling Lead to collaborate with the Maintenance/Recycle Manager and ensure adherence to company policies while driving quality, speed, and accuracy in recycling operations.

The role emphasizes mentoring Recycling staff, operating equipment like bailers, forklift, and clamp trucks, and providing daily progress updates to management in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent with warehouse/mechanical experience.
• Must be able to operate bailers and compressed recyclables.
• Must be able to operate forklift and clamp truck.
• Excellent communication and verbal skills.

Responsibilities

• Mentor, guide, coach and train other Recycling employees in recycling materials, safe cleaning and material handling practices.

• Sort materials, operate forklift, and clamp trucks.
• Delegate tasks and follow up.

• Great starting hourly pay at $20.00 - $24.00/hour (Based on Experience)

Minimum Qualifications

• Ability to communicate proactively and effectively including comprehending and communicating detailed instructions, reading and writing, and having knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures as required by the position.
• High School Diploma or equivalent Warehouse/mechanical experience
• Must be able to operate bailers and compressed recyclables
• Must be able to operate forklift and clamp truck

• Must be able to operate and adjust to change in a fast-paced work environment
• Ability to organize and prioritize the workload daily
• Must be at least 18 years old to be considered for employment with Bob's

Physical Demands

• Able to sit, walk, stand, bend, stoop, kneel, reach, twist, push, pull, climb, balance, crouch, push and handle and move items weighing up to 50 lbs without assistance.
• Ability to move throughout all areas of the distribution center.
• Move objects up to 250 lbs. with or without reasonable accommodations
• Stand and walk continuously to perform job functions.
• Standing, walking, lifting, and arranging product: 90%
