Job summary

Quality Custom Distribution Services LLC (QCD), a GSF subsidiary, seeks a Warehouse Lead for Seattle, WA, overseeing daily operations on a full-time, on-site schedule. The role combines hands-on leadership with inventory, receiving, and loading tasks in a temperature-controlled environment.

The candidate will coach associates, ensure safety, and drive productivity across shifts while supporting labor planning and process improvements. Weekend/overtime may be required.

Qualifications

• At least one year of warehouse lead or team lead experience preferred.
• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
• Experience operating material handling equipment (electric pallet jacks, stand-up forklifts, reach trucks).
• Forklift and reach truck certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily warehouse operations and coach associates to maintain productivity, safety and service standards.
• Support receiving, inventory management, order selection, and loading activities.
• Train associates across multiple temperature zones and ensure FIFO and expiration-date compliance.
• Monitor workflow and assist with labor planning and allocation during peak periods.
• Partner with supervisors on special projects and process improvements.

Warehouse Lead (Day Shift) - Seattle, WA

What You'll Do:

You’ll provide hands-on leadership for daily warehouse operations while supporting receiving, inventory management, order selection, and loading activities. This role combines operational execution with team leadership, requiring strong warehouse expertise, attention to detail, and the ability to coach associates while maintaining productivity, safety, and service standards in a temperature-controlled environment.

In This Role, You'll:

• Use Vocollect voice-directed headsets to accurately select products and complete customer orders
• Ensure products are in excellent condition, properly packaged, and meet quality expectations
• Safely operate material handling equipment, including electric pallet jacks, forklifts, reach trucks, scrubbers, and scissor lifts
• Train associates on warehouse operations across multiple temperature zones, including receiving, selection, loading, unloading, inventory management, FIFO procedures, and expiration-date requirements
• Lead daily pre-shift meetings and communicate operational priorities to the team
• Support supervisors in managing daily production and labor planning activities
• Monitor workflow and assist with labor allocation based on operational volume and staffing needs
• Provide direction, coaching, and support to warehouse associates while promoting a positive team environment
• Audit warehouse processes including selection, receiving, loading, unloading, putaways, inventory control, and sanitation, correcting deficiencies as needed
• Manage facility inventory accuracy and inventory-control processes
• Monitor truck schedules and help ensure inbound and outbound appointments are met efficiently
• Utilize email and warehouse management systems, including JDA, to support operational needs
• Maintain sanitation standards for assigned work areas, equipment, trailers, and warehouse facilities
• Coach associates on productivity, quality, safety, and company standards
• Lead by example while embodying the company's values and commitment to customer service
• Partner with supervisors on special projects, process improvements, and other operational initiatives
• Perform additional duties as assigned to support the success of the operation

What You’ll Bring:

• At least one year of warehouse lead or team lead experience preferred
• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience
• Experience operating material handling equipment, including electric pallet jacks, stand-up forklifts, and reach trucks
• Forklift and reach truck certification preferred
• Basic reading, math, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to accurately inspect products and maintain quality standards
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, twist, reach, and lift or carry up to 50 pounds throughout the shift
• Availability to work scheduled shifts, including weekends, holidays, and overtime as needed
• Ability to work in temperature-controlled environments, including refrigerated and freezer conditions
• Proven leadership skills with the ability to coach, mentor, and develop associates
• Strong communication, listening, and decision-making skills
• Ability to foster a positive, team-oriented, and respectful work environment
• Commitment to safety, operational excellence, and customer service

The Schedule & Setting:

• Full-time day-shift position
• Four-day, 10-hour schedule
• This is a fully on-site warehouse leadership role
• Work is performed in a physically active, production-based environment
• Regular work may include refrigerated (34-36°F) and freezer (0 to -10°F) conditions
• Weekends and holidays may be included in the regular schedule
• Overtime is required when operational needs arise and may extend the scheduled shift
• Leadership presence is expected throughout the shift to support associates and operational performance

Pay & Benefits:

• Pay Rate (Base Pay): $28.77 per hour
• Weekly pay (every Friday)
• Other Compensation: May include overtime pay, bonuses, shift differentials, or other incentive pay as applicable to the position and location
