Job summary

Capital Electric, part of the Sonepar group, is seeking a Warehouse Lead to supervise the branch’s logistics, overseeing receiving, shipping, and inventory control to ensure accurate daily material flow.

The role requires 1–3 years of leadership experience, strong knowledge of shipping/receiving and safety, and the ability to coordinate workloads and staff. Competitive pay and family-friendly benefits are offered.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years leadership experience.
• Excellent knowledge of shipping/receiving practices, policies and techniques.
• Excellent knowledge of merchandise handling and production methods.
• Basic computer system skills required.
• Experience with heavy equipment required.
• Good and dependable mathematic, verbal, and written communication skills.
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs. on a regular basis; up to 70 lbs. occasionally.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for delivery/receipt and/or shipping schedule.
• Instructs warehouse employees in work and safe operation of equipment.
• Assign workloads to warehouse workers and manage staffing levels.
• Maintains harmony among workers and resolves grievances.
• Keeps employees informed of company news and provides constructive feedback.
• Ensures adherence to all safety policies and procedures.
• Knows location and arrangement of stock; plans layout of storage areas.
• Studies records and recommends remedial actions for non-usable, slow-moving or excess stock.
• Reviews records for accuracy and stock level adequacy.
• Communicates with customers and sales force to address service issues.
• Multi-task and prioritizes tasks throughout the day.
• Other duties as required.
