Job summary

Cardinal Health in South Carolina is seeking a Lead Associate, Warehouse Operations to support the Warehouse Supervisor in inbound or outbound management of the warehouse floor and to facilitate effective warehouse operations through direction of warehouse staff, in accordance with operational priorities.

This role also coordinates receipt of shipments and scheduling of incoming trucks, and makes internal appointments.

Qualifications

• Excellent interpersonal, organizational and follow up skills.
• 2-4 years experience in a warehouse/distribution environment preferred.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, Excel knowledge preferred.
• Great communication skills; bi-lingual is a plus.
• Prior knowledge working with a WMS system.

Responsibilities

• Leading a team of 10-15 Warehouse Associates.
• Training new employees on company and departmental procedures as appropriate.
• Measuring safety, productivity, and quality standards and ensuring they are met.
• Coordinating housekeeping, inventory control, and complying with all QRA and safety requirements.
• Supporting employees in the distribution center in all functions, including unloading trucks by hand and with equipment.
• Order processing (picking, checking, sorting, consolidating, packing, loading).
• Leading team meetings; solving minor issues.
• Working in production as needed using an order picker, forklift or other devices.

This job also delegates work among the warehouse staff and produces reports on workforce productivity and quality.
