Job summary

QXO, a leading distributor and installer of building products, is seeking a warehouse associate in Roanoke, VA. You will handle receiving, put-away, order picking, cycle counts, and load/unload shipments while maintaining a safe, organized work environment.

This role requires 2–3 years of warehouse experience, ability to lift 75+ lbs, and strong communication with teammates and vendors. We offer a comprehensive benefits package including 401(k), health insurance, PTO, and paid training.

Qualifications

• 2-3 years of warehouse and inventory control experience
• Experience operating forklifts for loading/unloading
• Ability to lift 75+ lbs and work in varying weather conditions
• Strong verbal and written communication with coworkers, vendors, and customers
• Leadership or supervisory experience with direct customer interaction

Responsibilities

• Accurately fill orders, initiate and verify pick tickets, and complete all required paperwork
• Notify Purchasing and Sales of unfillable orders or low inventory levels
• Communicate professionally with customers in a timely manner
• Receive, inspect, label, and store materials, including non-stock items
• Report inventory discrepancies to the Receiving Coordinator
• Conduct timely and accurate cycle counts and inventory checks
• Safely load and unload vehicles and verify product descriptions and quantities
• Move materials within the yard and warehouse, maintaining a clean workspace
• Adhere to safety protocols and wear PPE
