Odyssey Logistics in Anchorage, AK is seeking a hands-on Warehouse Lead to oversee day-to-day warehouse and supply chain activities, safely performing shipping, receiving, material handling, and forklift operations.

You will guide Warehouse Associates, train temporary labor, maintain accurate documentation, and coordinate planning to ensure materials move efficiently, while upholding safety procedures and company standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum of 2 years of warehouse experience required.
• Previous Warehouse Lead or other warehouse leadership experience preferred.
• Demonstrated forklift operation experience required.
• Ability to safely operate forklifts with capacities up to 55,000 lbs.
• Strong understanding of warehouse safety and material-handling procedures.
• Ability to lead by example and support other warehouse employees.
• Strong communication, organization, multitasking, and time-management skills.
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods and frequently lift up to 40 lbs., with occasional lifting up to 70 lbs.
• Ability to work in extreme outdoor and warehouse temperatures, including temperatures as low as -20°F.
• Reliable, punctual, safety-conscious, and accountable.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team while handling multiple priorities.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and participate in shipping, receiving, loading, unloading, and material-handling activities.
• Safely operate assigned forklifts and other warehouse equipment, including forklifts with capacities of up to 55,000 lbs.
• Complete required paperwork and maintain communication with the Shipping/Receiving office.
• Follow OSHA requirements and company safety procedures at all times.
• Complete forklift pre-trip inspections and safely change propane tanks as needed.
• Ensure appropriate PPE is worn and immediately report accidents, damages, claims, equipment issues, or other safety concerns.
• Help guide Warehouse Associates and participate in training temporary labor.
• Assist with warehouse planning and daily workflow to ensure materials are moved efficiently.
• Maintain clean and safe warehouse floors and work areas.
• Document temperatures for refrigerated freight when required.
• Safely handle incoming and outgoing materials while protecting freight from damage.
• Work effectively in extreme temperatures, including environments as cold as -20°F.
