Job summary

Staffmark Group is hiring a Warehouse Lead in Charleston, SC. The role oversees daily warehouse operations, directs a team of material handlers, and helps ensure safe, accurate, and efficient shipping, receiving, and inventory workflows.

You will assign tasks, monitor workflow, enforce schedules, train staff, and partner with management to resolve operational issues while upholding safety rules and OSHA guidance. First shift, with occasional OT.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Associate's or bachelor's degree in business, logistics, supply chain, or related field preferred.
• At least 2 years of experience leading warehouse, distribution, shipping, receiving, or logistics operations.
• Strong leadership, communication, and team management skills.
• Knowledge of inventory control, warehouse procedures, and workplace safety practices.

Responsibilities

• Assigns daily tasks, directs workflow, and manages material handlers to meet production, quality, and customer service goals.
• Monitors the movement of goods, tracks inventory or cargo status, and enforces daily work schedules and labor estimates.
• Ensures adherence to company safety rules, proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE), and prompt reporting of workplace hazards.
• Trains new and existing team members and assists management in resolving minor operational problems or employee complaints.
