Job summary

The Vomela Companies, onsite in Indianapolis, IN, is seeking a Warehouse Associate to support the Warehouse Manager. You will coordinate staff activities, manage materials put-away, and ensure accurate inventory through standard procedures.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma and 3–5 years in warehousing, with bilingual English/Spanish as a plus. Proficiency with ERP systems and Microsoft Office is preferred. Forklift certification, or willingness to become certified, is required.

Qualifications

• Minimum of a High School diploma or equivalent and 3–5 years related experience and/or training.
• Previous experience in warehouse, shipping, receiving or inventory control environment.

Responsibilities

• Oversees and processes incoming receipts to warehouse staging and put-away in racks.
• Maintains control framework for put-away transactions to ensure traceability.
• Determines work procedures, schedules and expedites workflow for Warehouse Associates.
• Directs movement of material between rack locations to optimize space.
• Collects data for warehouse capacity and OTIF.
• Promotes staff development and provides regular feedback to the Warehouse Manager.
• Inspects forklifts and coordinates repairs as needed.
• Fosters a positive work environment and team collaboration.
