Job summary

Arcadia Cold Storage and Logistics seeks a Warehouse Lead to manage loading, unloading, stacking, sorting, and case picking to assemble customer orders in a warehouse setting. The role requires operating all material handling equipment and guiding Warehouse Operators daily.

The ideal candidate will have a GED, experience with Arcadia MHE equipment, and a strong focus on safety, accuracy, and efficiency. Weekend shifts may be required in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or GED from an accredited institution.
• Experience operating Arcadia MHE equipment required.
• Basic reading, legible writing and arithmetic skills required.
• Strong sense of urgency and ability to meet deadlines.
• Ability to communicate effectively with a variety of individuals.
• High level of attention to detail.
• Comfortable working independently or as a team.
• Knowledge of Warehouse Management Systems preferred.
• Ability to work a flexible work schedule and shifts, including weekends if needed.

Responsibilities

• Operate powered industrial trucks (power jack and forklift) to maneuver through the warehouse.
• Select and load products from warehouse storage onto pallets or trays following a work or pick order to prepare product loads for shipping to customer locations.
• Provide visual and check with Wave Planner to ensure put-away, shipping, receiving accuracy.
• Work with Wave Planner and Management to ensure proper efficiency to operations KPI’s (turn times, damage, accuracy).
• Ensure proper LM functions as communicated by supervisors.
• Verify inventory and inspect product for quality assurance, including packaging integrity and damage signs.
• Document and report damages to supervisor or manager.
• Apply knowledge of truck weight distribution and capabilities to plan, organize and efficiently stage product.
• Receive work assignments from control room and follow computerized work orders.
• Oversees activities of Warehouse Operators.
• Perform daily and pre-trip safety checks on all equipment.
• Apply knowledge of product location to gather all products for load(s).
• Identify pick type according to the work order to plan.
• Communicate with fellow employees for safe transport of goods.
• Provide training to new hires.
• Follow all regulatory and company safety standards and procedures.
