Job summary

Daniels Health is seeking a Warehouse Lead and backup CDL driver for our Baton Rouge facility. You will supervise production, load/unload trucks, prepare orders, train staff, and maintain OSHA standards while driving a 26-foot box truck to collect and deliver medical waste containers.

Customer service and safety are top priorities. The role includes supporting the Plant Supervisor, ensuring on-time deliveries, and promoting a clean, audit-ready workplace.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of previous lead experience preferred.
• Ability to manage many activities simultaneously.
• Plan, analyze and challenge team.
• Work cross-functionally with stakeholders.
• Class B license with a clean driving record and VALID DOT MEDICAL CARD.
• Minimum 3 years experience operating 26 foot box truck.
• Passing our 7 Year FADV review in the Drug & Alcohol Clearinghouse.
• Experience with pre-trip and post-trip vehicle evaluations.
• Experience with DOT compliance, logging hours and roadside inspections.
• Can-do attitude with a strong customer focus.
• Proven longevity in past employment.
• TOUCH FREIGHT EXPERIENCE!!!

• Promotes a clean workplace that is audit-ready at any given time.
• Supports Plant Supervisor with day-to-day operations and additional duties.
• Operating 26 ft box truck in a safe manner.
• Safely collect, deliver and store our medical waste containers at customer locations.
• Providing strong customer service and building positive customer relationships.
• Completing deliveries to time schedule and clearly communicating changes.
• Complying with DOT regulations, logging hours and roadside inspections.

Job description

We are looking to hire a Warehouse Lead and back up CDL driver for our Daniels’ medical waste treatment facility in Baton Rouge. A Lead has a widely varying role, from checking in containers, double checking paperwork, moving/unloading specific waste containers, and operating a forklift to load an autoclave. Additionally, our Lead will occasionally drive our box truck (26 feet) to collect sharps and medical waste containers from our healthcare customer locations and delivering a high level of customer service daily.

What will your job involve?
