Job summary

Bob's Discount Furniture seeks an experienced Shipping Operations Associate to perform real-time analysis and coordinate DC shipping tasks. You will balance shipping operations, assign pick tasks, and record outbound deliveries while supporting the Shipping Supervisor and maintaining system knowledge.

Ideal candidates bring 5+ years in warehouse management, strong communication, and proficiency with Word, Excel, SAP and Red Prairie.

Responsibilities

• Real time analysis for DC shipping operations coordination.
• Coordinate and balance shipping operations (allocation of pick tasks).
• Assign picking/loading tasks.
• Record and report outbound deliveries.
• Support reporting, researching and resolving interface issues between host system and WMS.
• Ensure tasks are completed accurately and on time.
• Provide administrative support for the Shipping Supervisor.
• Maintain knowledge of needed systems.
• Perform additional duties as requested.

Job Responsibilities

• Including but not limited to: Responsible for real time analysis, assisting the coordination and balance of DC Shipping operations.
• Responsible for real time analysis, coordination and balance of Shipping Operations (allocation of pick tasks).
• Assigning of picking/loading tasks.
• Recording and reporting of outbound deliveries.
• Provides support in reporting, researching and resolving issues that occur in the interface between host system and WMS in a timely manner.
• Ensure all tasks are completed accurately and on time.
• Provides administrative support for the Shipping Supervisor.
• Develops and maintains a working knowledge and understanding of all needed systems.
• Performs additional duties as requested.
• Support Picking and Loading operation as needed.

Decision Making Responsibilities

Under direct supervision of the DC Shipping Supervisor. Work is performed within standard policies and procedures with opportunity for unreviewed decision-making.

Financial Responsibilities

This position does not have any direct financial responsibilities.

Supervisory Responsibilities

This position does not have direct supervisory responsibilities. Provides information and support to production staff.

Required Qualifications
