Job summary

OmniMax International, a leading North American building products manufacturer, is seeking a Warehouse Lead to join its Sacramento, CA team. The role supports inventory control, safety, and packing operations on an evening shift (5:00 PM to 3:35 AM), four days per week with a 35-minute lunch.

Responsibilities include maintaining safety standards, data entry in ERP systems (SAP/Oracle preferred), and organizing stock. A valid driver’s license and forklift experience are required.

Qualifications

• A valid driver’s license.
• Ability to operate an order picker and forklift (OSHA test passed).
• Lift up to 50 lbs; stand for 8 hours; count and write.

Responsibilities

• Maintain safety standards and follow company safety policies.
• Inventory control: counting, recording and reporting.
• Lean champion overseeing projects and safety in the plant.
• Organize stock and designate stocking locations.
• Quality control: identify defective products and report.
• Experience with warehouse software/ERP (SAP or Oracle preferred).
• Back-up to Forklift and Order Fillers as needed.
• Wrap pallets, stage shipments, and load transfers.
• Assist other locations/departments as necessary.
• Ensure general shop cleanliness.

Requirements

We are searching for a candidate with:

• A valid driver’s license
• The skill and ability to operate an order picker and all forklift equipment (obtained by passing OSHA required written test and demonstration)
• The ability to lift products (up to 20 lbs. 2/3 or more of the time, up to 50 lbs. 1/3 of the time), stand for 8 hours a day, count and write

Duties and Responsibilities

A typical day may include:

• Maintaining awareness of safety principles and following company safety standards
• Inventory control of goods (counting, recording, reporting)
• Lean champion overseeing projects and champion of safety in the plant
• Maintaining order and placing all stock in designated areas
• Organizing goods and assisting with designating stocking locations as neededQuality control of product (identify and report defective, damaged, or otherwise bad products), reworking or scraping as required
• Experience with warehouse software, Enterprise Resources Planning (ERP), SAP or Oracle preferred
• Serving as a back-up to Forklift and Order Fillers
• Wrapping skids of product for shipment, staging, recording and loading of internal transfers
• Helping out in other locations and departments as necessary
• General shop cleanliness.
• Any other responsibilities deemed necessary by leadership
