Job summary

OmniMax is seeking a Shipping & Receiving Clerk to join our warehouse team in Sacramento. You will handle receiving, shipping, and inventory control, while maintaining safe, efficient warehouse operations. Proficiency with order pickers and forklifts, and ability to lift and stand for long periods, are essential.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Oversee receiving, stowing, picking, packing, shipping and inventory.

• Enforce safety policies and procedures.
• Wrap skids for shipment and prepare staging area.
• Maintain order of fittings and stock areas.
• Back-up for other warehouse roles and report defects.

Requirements

We are searching for a candidate with:

• A high school diploma or equivalent.
• A valid drivers license.
• Present skill and ability to operate an order picker and forklift.
• The ability to lift product, stand for long periods of time, count, and write.

Duties And Responsibilities

A typical day may include:

• Overseeing receiving and stowing, picking and packing, shipping, inventory management, and documentation.
• Optimizing efficient layouts, workflows, and utilization of warehouse space.
• Monitoring the safety and security of goods and materials.
• Utilizing a warehouse management system (WMS), enterprise resource system (ERP), or other system to track and analyze processes and performance.
• Implementing strong safety policies and procedures.
• Wrapping skids of product for shipment and moving to staging area.
• Maintaining order of fittings, warehouse, and placing all stock in designated areas.
• Serving as a back-up to Order Pickers, Forklift Operators, and Whse P&G Stock.
• Quality control of product (identify and report defective, damaged, or otherwise bad products).
