Meyer Distributing is seeking a Warehouse Lead to manage a 10-person team in our Jasper, IN facility. The role focuses on leading daily operations to ensure on-time transfer trailer departures with the highest quality and consistency.

The Warehouse Lead will demonstrate servant leadership, monitor the zone, and drive continuous improvement while maintaining 5S standards and safety compliance.

Qualifications

• Lead daily Tier-1 team huddles and supervise shift execution.
• Demonstrate safety and quality focus in warehouse operations.
• Communicate clearly with team and supervisors to meet dispatch metrics.

Responsibilities

• Lead a 10-member crew and ensure on-time trailer departures.
• Set the example with perfect attendance and strong work ethic.
• Present daily reports and metrics for team review.
• Maintain zone readiness (skids, packaging, tags, BOLs) at shift start.
• Ensure zone cleanliness and organization at end of shift.
• Mentor team on processes and SOP updates as needed.
• Monitor equipment like Zebra printers/scanners for accuracy.
• Assist in evaluating team performance with shift supervisor.

Meyer Distributing is looking for a Warehouse Lead to join our Jasper team.

The Warehouse Lead will be responsible for leading a 10-member crew and ensuring that transfer trailers depart on time with the highest quality and consistency. The Zone lead must possess effective delegation skills and be a servant leader, constantly monitoring their zone and ensuring smooth operations.

Pay

• Up to $25/hr based on experience.

Schedule

• Will be required to work rotating Fridays and Saturdays
• Monday - Friday: 10:30 am - 8:30 pm + Saturdays: 9:00 am - 6:00 pm

Requirements

• Ability to lift up to 75 pounds
• Ability to engage in repetitive bending and lifting
• Ability to operate a forklift or a manlift (cherry picker)
• Must obtain forklift and manlift certification within 3 months
• Must be able to work up to 25 feet above ground level
• Must not be afraid of heights

Job Duties Include But Are Not Limited To

• Set the example for perfect attendance and a positive work ethic.
• Lead daily Tier-1 team huddle.
• Present daily reports and metrics for the Tier-2 huddle.
• Ensure the assigned zone is set up correctly (skids, small parts, banding machine, tags, BOLs, etc.) before
• beginning of shift
• Ensure the assigned zone is clean at the end of every shift.
• Effectively manage the team to disperse and stack skids with product.
• Maintain 5S scores
• Maintain and assist in developing SOPs
• Train and ensure team members are updated on process changes and document the same.
• Maintain quality of assigned hardware (Zebra Printers, scanners)
• Assist the 2nd shift supervisor with associate assessments.
• Lead team to achieve identified metrics-On time dispatch, LOT, Load Snapshot, FATL, Cartoning %, etc.
• Monitor team member schedules and assist the 2nd Shift supervisor as necessary
• Bin management / inventory exceptions/ stock check / check off trucks at the end of each night.
