Job summary

Meyer Distributing is seeking a Warehouse Lead for the 2nd shift to oversee daily activities, coordinate personnel, and ensure safety and productivity under the Warehouse Manager. The role requires leadership and forklift/manlift experience, with emphasis on meeting performance targets and maintaining a safe work environment.

The position offers $21.00-$22.00 per hour, a stable 5-day (~40 hours) schedule, Sunday-Thursday 12:00pm-9:00pm, and benefits including medical, dental, vision, 401K match,

Qualifications

• Ability to lift up to 75 pounds.
• Previous warehouse experience and forklift/manlift use preferred.
• Must obtain forklift and manlift certification within 3 months.
• Able to work up to 25 feet above ground and not afraid of heights.
• High School diploma or equivalent preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support warehouse associates to ensure productivity, safety, and efficiency.
• Enforce safety procedures, PPE requirements, and company policies.
• Operate forklifts, manlifts, and electric pallet jacks as needed.
• Oversee receiving, stocking, picking, loading and unloading of products.
• Maintain inventory accuracy and assist with cycle counts.
• Ensure the warehouse remains clean, organized, and safe.
• Monitor attendance, timekeeping, and performance; provide coaching.
• Report equipment issues and coordinate repairs with maintenance.
• Complete required reports and administrative duties.

The Warehouse Lead 2nd shift will oversee and coordinate the daily warehouse activities including but not limited to personnel, productivity with the goal of meeting or exceeding daily performance expectations directed by the Warehouse Manager.

Hourly Rate and Schedule:

• $21.00 - $22.00 per hour, based on experience
• Stable schedule: 5-day work week ~40 hours
• Sunday - Thursday, 12:00pm - 9:00pm (start/end time may vary based on coverage and business needs)

Requirements for Warehouse Worker:

• Ability to lift up to 75 pounds.
• Previous warehouse experience and ability to operate a forklift or man lift (cherry picker), preferred.
• Ability to engage in repetitious bending and lifting.
• Must obtain forklift and manlift certification within 3 months.
• Must be able to work up to 25 feet above ground level.
• Must not be afraid of heights.
• High School graduate or equivalent preferred.
