Job description

Job Title: Warehouse Supervisor

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  1. Open and close the warehouse shift daily.
  2. Print and assign routes to team members to initiate operations.
  3. Oversee all warehouse employee functions.
  4. Ensure adherence to FIFO (First In, First Out) procedures.
  5. Follow quality assurance protocols, including product rotation and cycle counts.
  6. Manage timely picking and loading of products.
  7. Maintain cleanliness in cooler, freezer aisles, and dock areas.
  8. Communicate with customers regarding delivery issues or order discrepancies.
  9. Ensure the warehouse environment is clean, organized, and well-maintained.
  10. Implement procedures to prevent product theft.
  11. Comply with OSHA and safety regulations, collaborating with safety personnel.
  12. Reduce financial losses from damaged products.
  13. Ensure correct product labeling and report discrepancies.
  14. Inspect work equipment regularly and coordinate repairs or replacements.
  15. Ensure all equipment is charged and operational at shift end.
  16. Serve as acting Warehouse Supervisor when needed.
  17. Guarantee products leave in good condition.
  18. Maintain discipline and safety in the working environment.
  19. Verify accuracy of truck loads, ensuring no missing or extra products.
  20. Cover warehouse duties in case of employee absence.
  21. Lead evacuation procedures during emergencies.
  22. Handle hazardous spill cleanups safely.
  23. Perform other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications and Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s or associate degree in administration, retail, merchandising, supply chain, or related field preferred; equivalent experience acceptable.
  • 2-3 years of experience in warehousing or supply chain management.
  • Strong leadership and supervisory skills.
  • Understanding of finance, databases, and spreadsheets.
  • Excellent interpersonal, motivational, and communication skills.
  • Knowledge of safety and legal procedures for handling goods.
  • Effective time management and deadline adherence.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
