Job summary

Mattress Firm, a leading mattress retailer, seeks a Distribution Center Lead to guide a warehouse team in daily tasks, order fulfillment, and inventory control. You will load/unload shipments, stage deliveries, and ensure accuracy and timely processing while upholding safety standards and excellent customer service.

This role emphasizes teamwork and operational excellence in a busy distribution center. You will coordinate with vendors, monitor inventory, and support quality assurance.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
• 1+ years warehouse experience required.
• Strong communication skills required.
• Able to be thorough and accurate when accomplishing a task.
• Ability to manage time efficiently to ensure completion of work.

Responsibilities

• Lead and communicate to a team of warehouse associates to complete daily department tasks and company goals.
• Load and unload merchandise from delivery trucks and vendor shipments.
• Stage deliveries and maintain inventory levels through stock checks.
• Perform quality assurance on inbound/outbound shipments and investigate discrepancies.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the warehouse, offices, and surroundings.
• Operate and maintain order pickers and warehouse equipment.
• Ensure safety policies and procedures are followed and participate in training.

These include receiving incoming product, picking and filling orders, packing and shipping orders, and ensuring proper storage of inventory.
