Job summary

Hanes Geo Components, a division of Leggett & Platt, is seeking a Warehouse Lead at our Midland, TX facility to oversee daily warehouse operations and ensure accurate shipping/receiving, inventory control, and safety compliance.

The successful candidate will lead a small team, coordinate carriers, maintain organization, and drive continuous improvement in processes while upholding quality standards and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

• Able to operate office equipment.
• Able to operate lift trucks.
• Forklift Certified.
• Experience with shipping, receiving, and bar-coded inventory using an RF Scanner.
• Cooperative attitude for teamwork.
• Good communication skills (verbal & written).
• Must follow verbal & written instructions.
• Commitment to the Management System and continual improvement process.

Responsibilities

• Identify and stop non-conformances related to products, processes, or the quality system.
• Take action to prevent nonconformities related to the product, service, or the Management system.
• Suggest improvements and verify implementation of solutions.
• Manage warehouse inventory through accurate shipping/receiving and weekly cycle counts.
• Count incoming inventory for accuracy and create inventory tickets.
• Load/unload trucks.
• Lead/assign warehouse staff in daily tasks and ensure they stay on task.
• Prepare and complete all shipping documents.
• Keep warehouse organized and clean.
• Schedule carriers to pick up freight.
• Ensure every piece of freight is accounted for and tagged.
• Ensure all freight is located in its proper place.
• Utilize warehouse space correctly.
• Ability to lift 50+ pounds.
• Maintain a clean and orderly workplace.
• Participate in the continuous quality process.
• Conform to all quality/safety requirements and procedures.
• Perform other duties as assigned by Department Supervisor.

QUALIFICATIONS:
