Job summary

CORT Events in Las Vegas is seeking a Warehouse Lead to oversee a team of warehouse associates, manage inbound and outbound shipments, and ensure accurate inventory movement in the system.

The role requires forklift operation, BOL documentation, and a commitment to safety. Pay is $20–$22 per hour with a Mon-Fri 6am–2:30pm schedule and occasional Saturdays; summer shifts may start at 5am.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent preferred.
• Reliable transportation.
• Previous warehousing experience preferred; priority given to candidates with leadership experience.
• Computer skills—Microsoft Office and inventory software.
• Forklift certification preferred; on-the-job certification provided.
• Physically able to move furniture; ability to lift 50+ pounds regularly or 100 pounds with a partner.
• RF scanners, pallet jacks, forklifts, and stand-up reach trucks are used in this role.
• Must pass drug screening (non-THC) as a condition of employment.

Responsibilities

• Provides basic oversight and leads temporary labor and warehouse associates.
• Oversees loading and unloading of trucks and assists with loading/unloading.
• Leads processes from start to finish with the respective work crews.
• Completes basic paperwork including Bill of Ladings, transfer documents and receiving forms.
• Uploads handheld devices and runs reports from the inventory management system.
• Ensures inventory movement is properly recorded in the system.
• Analyzes transfer schedules to move, gather or distribute product for outbound/inbound freight.
• Directs product flow from receiving to storage or other designated areas.
• Attaches barcodes and ensures labeling according to company standards.

Overview

CORT is hiring immediately for a full-time Warehouse Lead in Las Vegas, NV!

The Warehouse lead reports to the Warehouse Manager. They help to oversee and delegate work amongst a team of warehouse associates loading and unloading trucks, while handling product transfers, inbound trailers, and pick lists. This role requires the use of a computer to manage product transfers and Bill of Ladings (BOLs).

Pay: $20-22 / hour depending on experience.

Schedule: Monday -Friday 6am -2:30pm with occasional Saturdays. During the summer months, the schedule shifts to 5am to 1:30pm.

• Upload handheld devices and run reports from the inventory management system.
• Assures inventory movement is properly recorded in the inventory management system.
• Analyze transfer schedule to determine product to be moved, gathered, or distributed, for outbound district orders and inbound freight.
• Conveys product and materials from receiving or production areas to storage or to other designated areas.
• Sorts and places product or materials on racks, shelves, or in bins according to predetermined sequence such as size, type, style, color, quality, or product code.
• Assembles district orders from stock and stages orders for loading on truck
• Operates forklift and furniture picker to transport and hoist product to and from the racks.
• Opens boxes, crates, and other containers to unload new product.
• Attaches barcodes to product according to company standards.
• Cleans and inspects refurbished product and packages product according to company standards.
• Uses handheld device to scan in and out inventory barcodes from the inventory management system.
• Reports loss and damage to distribution manager.
• Separates product to damage or clean areas.
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent preferred
• Reliable transportation
• Previous warehousing experience preferred; priority consideration will be given to candidates with more and relevant experience; experience as a team lead preferred
• Computer skills-able to utilize Microsoft office and inventory software
• Forklift Operator certification preferred; on-the-job certification provided
• Physically able and willing to move furniture; ability to lift 50+ pounds on a regular basis or 100 pounds with a partner
• Able to operate equipment such as RF scanners, pallet jacks, forklifts, and stand-up reach trucks
• Must pass drug screening (does not include THC) as a condition of employment
