Job summary

Monroechamber is seeking a Warehouse Lead for the 1st shift in Wisconsin. Typical hours are 7:00am–3:30pm with some flexibility; wage ranges from $26.00 to $30.00 per hour and is a Monday–Friday role.

The incumbent will oversee receiving, picking, packing, and shipping, while guiding staff to meet delivery goals, enforce safety, and ensure 100% inventory accuracy. Strong supervisory experience and a related degree or equivalent are required.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or six months to one-year related experience and/or training; or equivalent education/experience.
• 3-5 years of warehouse experience with layout, inventory control, packaging, pick/pack/ship, and material handling.
• 3+ years of supervisory experience.
• Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business materials and write reports.

Responsibilities

• Lead all warehouse functions including receiving, picking, pulling, and shipping to meet customer service goals.
• Direct and motivate staff to complete daily workload efficiently and cost-effectively.
• Ensure quality, safety, and sanitation practices comply with OSHA standards.
• Match inventory to invoices with 100% accuracy and timely recording.
• Resolve discrepancies and back-ordered items; oversee equipment inspections and maintenance.
• Review product flow to meet customer demand and supervise inventory control with accuracy.

Job description

Position Title: Warehouse Lead Wage: $26.00 - $30.00/hour Shift: 1st Hours: 7:00am - 3:30pm (Flexible)

This is a 1st shift, Monday-Friday position, generally working between 7:00/7:30 a.m. and 3:30/4:00 p.m., with some flexibility. The pay range is $26-$30 per hour.

Warehouse Lead Responsibilities

• Lead all warehouse functions including receiving, picking, pulling, and shipping operations to ensure that activities are performed to accomplish set customer service goals
• Provide direction and proper motivation to lead employees while ensuring the daily workload is completed in an efficient and cost-effective manner Communicates with other members of management and departments to ensure that company and department goals are met
• Instruct and provide oversight to ensure the proper execution of all established quality, safety, and sanitation practices of the warehouse
• Ensure inventory is matched to invoices and recorded with 100% accuracy in a timely manner
• Resolve inventory discrepancies and back-ordered items
• Oversee inspections of material handling equipment and ensure equipment is properly maintained
• Utilize company policies and enforces safety regulations in adherence to OSHA safety standards
• Review and monitor product flow to ensure the company is able to meet customer demand at all times
• Supervise inventory control process with 100% accuracy

Requirements for Warehouse Lead

• Associate’s degree or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or six months to one-year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
• 3-5 years of warehouse experience with experience in the layout, inventory control, packaging, pick/pack/ship, and material handling
• 3+ years of supervisory experience
• Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume
• Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations
• Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals
• Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public
