• Follows programs to track and maintain positive results for order reliability and dependability.
• Help manage trailer inventory and dock door placement.
• Verifies loaded trailers meet company standards throughout the loading process
• Conducts random load evaluations.
• Responsible for overall cleanliness of the cold dock.
• Provides assistance to the shift supervisor with special orders as needed.
• Verifies trailer temperatures are correct before the loading process starts
• Completes job tasks of Receiving Clerk as needed.
• Conduct pre-shift stretching and monitor employees in safe operations.
• Other Duties as assigned

Job description

Responsible for direction of the associate workforce in the completion of their daily tasks. Reports to the Warehouse Manager of Supervisor. Coordinates efforts with Dispatch.

Responsibilities

• Ensure the department and employees operate in a safe manner.
• Troubleshoots productions issues of warehouse associated.
• Coordinates completion of paperwork with associates and Dispatch.
• Ensures a responsive and continuous program to meet Silliker requirements
• Follows programs to track and maintain positive results for order reliability and dependability.
• Help manage trailer inventory and dock door placement.
• Verifies loaded trailers meet company standards throughout the loading process
• Conducts random load evaluations.
• Responsible for overall cleanliness of the cold dock. The sanitation associate responsible for the cold dock, cooler, and freezer areas will work closely with this person to ensure cleanliness standards are maintained.
• Provides assistance to the shift supervisor with special orders as needed.
• Verifies trailer temperatures are correct before the loading process starts
• Completes job tasks of Receiving Clerk as needed.
• Conduct pre-shift stretching and monitor employees in safe operations.
• Other Duties as assigned

Qualifications

High School graduate. Completes on-going management education through internal and external sources, as required.

Requirements

TECHNICAL EXPERTISE:Ability to learn and utilize computer programs to advance functional aspects of assigned department. Basic skills are needed for the Microsoft Office.

LANGUAGE SKILLS: Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to read and compose professional reports and correspondence to recipients within the organization.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS: Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as subtotals, grand totals, and fractions.

REASONING ABILITY: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
