Job Details

We are currently seeking an experienced and dynamic Permanent Team Lead to join our manufacturing team. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in driving our manufacturing processes and teams towards achieving operational excellence. This position is an excellent opportunity for a motivated individual to leverage their leadership skills and technical expertise in a fast-paced, innovative manufacturing environment. The successful candidate must have 3+ years of experience, particularly in operating and maintaining bag machines.

Responsibilities

• Lead, manage, and motivate a team of manufacturing associates to achieve production goals while maintaining the highest quality standards.
• Oversee the day-to-day operations of bag machine production, ensuring efficiency and productivity.
• Implement and enforce safety policies and procedures to ensure a safe working environment for all employees.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to optimize production processes, reduce waste, and improve overall operational efficiency.
• Coordinate with other departments such as Quality Control, Maintenance, and Planning to ensure smooth production flow and timely delivery of products.
• Train new team members on bag machine operations, safety protocols, and quality standards.
• Troubleshoot equipment issues, perform preventative maintenance, and coordinate with maintenance teams to minimize downtime.
• Conduct regular team meetings to communicate production updates, address concerns, and foster a positive work environment.
• Monitor and report on key production metrics to senior management, identifying areas for improvement and proposing solutions.

Qualifications

• A minimum of 3 years of experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably with specific experience in operating and maintaining bag machines.
• Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a team effectively.
• Strong technical skills with a solid understanding of bag machine operations and maintenance.
• Experience in implementing and driving continuous improvement initiatives.
• Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot equipment issues effectively.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with team members at all levels.
• Knowledge of safety standards and procedures in a manufacturing environment.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment, managing multiple tasks simultaneously.
• High school diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor’s degree in a related field preferred.
• Certification in Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or a similar methodology is a plus.
