Job summary

Gold Star is seeking a Warehouse Lead to supervise daily warehouse operations, optimize inventory control, and uphold safety standards in a dairy feed production setting. You will lead a hands-on team to ensure accurate, on-time product flow.

The role requires a high school diploma, experience in feed milling or manufacturing, forklift operation, and a strong commitment to detail and safety in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience in feed milling, agriculture, food production, or manufacturing preferred.
• Ability to operate forklifts, loaders, and other mill equipment (certification a plus).
• Strong attention to detail and safety awareness.
• Comfortable with shift work, weekends, or overtime as needed.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate receiving, storage, and dispatching of dairy feed products, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
• Implement and monitor inventory control procedures, including stock rotation and loss prevention.
• Maintain an organized and clean warehouse environment, complying with safety and hygiene standards.
• Track inventory levels, manage stock replenishment, and oversee quality checks.
• Prepare and maintain warehouse documentation, including inventory reports and incident logs.
• Collaborate with receiving, operations, logistics, and production teams to ensure seamless product flow.
• Enforce safety regulations.
• Troubleshoot operational issues and implement solutions to optimize warehouse efficiency.
• Drive a culture of safety, accountability and continuous improvement.

Job Summary

Warehouse Lead is responsible for overseeing daily warehouse operations, ensuring efficient inventory management, and maintaining safety protocols. This role requires a hands-on leader who can optimize workflow, manage storage systems, and ensure timely and accurate distribution of dairy feed products.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

Requirements

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.


• Previous experience in feed milling, agriculture, food production, or manufacturing preferred.


• Ability to operate forklifts, loaders, and other mill equipment (certification a plus).


• Basic mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn equipment operation.


• Strong attention to detail and safety awareness.


• Comfortable with shift work, weekends, or overtime as needed.

Physical Demands

• Indoor/outdoor mill setting with exposure to dust, noise, and temperature changes.


• Fast-paced team environment with a strong focus on safety, cleanliness, and quality.


• Employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 60 pounds, climb 75 feet of ladder, and be able to balance, stoop, kneel, crouch and crawl.


• May require working on a rotating shift or weekends depending on production needs.
