Job summary

SMITHS TUBULAR SYSTEMS - LACONIA is seeking a Warehouse Materials Handler to support manufacturing by pulling materials, assembling kits, and maintaining inventory accuracy on the shop floor. You will follow pick lists and work orders, verify quantities, and ensure parts are correctly labeled and stored.

This role requires good physical stamina, the ability to lift up to 25 pounds occasionally, and a readiness to work standing and walking throughout shifts.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent experience.
• 1–3 months related experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Gathers product components for assembly based on pick list and work orders.
• Counts parts to determine inventory accuracy.
• Maintains accurate inventory database.
• Prints and attaches labels to accurately identify parts.
• Counts, weighs, and records number of units moved or handled on daily production sheet.

Under the general direction of the Warehouse Supervisor, this position is responsible for retrieving materials to create assembly kits for the manufacturing floor as well as retrieving other materials, as needed, which are necessary for the manufacturing process. To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Gathers product components for assembly based on pick list and work orders
• Counts parts to determine inventory accuracy
• Maintains accurate inventory database
• Prints and attaches labels to accurately identify parts
• Identify and communicate discrepancies to supervisor
• Conveys materials from storage or work sites to designated area
• Counts, weighs, and records number of units of materials moved or handled on daily production sheet
• While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; talk and hear.
• The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
