Job summary

Rheem Manufacturing Company is seeking an Inventory Control helper to ensure the accuracy of materials, records, and delivery systems in a warehouse environment in North Carolina. The role runs a 6:00am–4:30pm schedule from Monday through Thursday, with starting pay at 20.50 per hour.

Responsibilities include verifying incoming materials, processing freight paperwork, labeling stock, and maintaining inventory accuracy.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • 3 years manufacturing experience preferred.
  • Ability to read BOMs and understand shipping/receiving schedules.
  • Ability to obtain Rheem lift truck license.
  • Experience with warehouse management systems (Korber/HighJump) preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) within 6 months.
  • Proficiency with Oracle inventory applications within 6 months.
  • Ability to identify and resolve discrepancies in inventory transactions.
  • Strong communication with colleagues and management.
  • Ability to work overtime and lift up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

  • Verify quantities and descriptions for incoming materials and enter data into the system.
  • Mark freight bills and note damage or shortages.
  • Apply receiver's stamp and signature to approved freight documents.
  • Label stock items with date of receipt/shipment and part numbers.
  • Tag incoming/outgoing materials and maintain documentation.
  • Support inventory accuracy through verification and reconciliation activities.
  • Maintain alignment between Oracle locations and physical storage locations.
  • Assist in developing audit processes and Kanban signals.
  • Perform cycle counts in accordance with inventory procedures.
  • Keep storage locations organized and clearly labeled.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Job Description

Supports inventory control and management by ensuring accuracy of materials, inventory records, and delivery systems.

6:00am - 4:30pm Monday - Thursday

Responsibilities
  • Verify accurate quantities and descriptions for incoming materials based on open purchase orders, packing lists, freight bills and bills of lading, and enter the data into the system.
  • Mark freight bills and noting any damage or shortage of goods delivered.
  • Apply receiver's stamp (LP) and signature to all approved freight bills, bills of lading and packing lists.
  • Label all stock items with the date of receipt or shipment and the part number to all stock items.
  • Properly tag incoming or outgoing materials and maintain associated documentation.
  • Support inventory accuracy through verification and reconciliation activities.
  • Maintain alignment between Oracle system locations and the corresponding physical storage locations.
  • Assist in development of audit processes and Kanban delivery signals.
  • Perform cycle counts in accordance with inventory.
  • Maintain organized and properly labeled storage locations.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • 3 years manufacturing experience preferred.
  • Ability to read BOM and interpret bills of materials (BOMs).
  • Ability to read and understand shipping and/or receiving schedules.
  • Ability to obtain Rheem lift truck license.
  • Experience performing inventory transactions in warehouse management systems (e.g. Korber and HighJump ) preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office systems Word, Excel, and PowerPoint within the first 6 months of hire.
  • Proficiency with Oracle inventory applications within the first 6 months of hire.
  • Ability to identify and resolve discrepancies in inventory transactions and receipts.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with other employees and management.
  • Ability to work overtime as needed.
  • Ability to work at heights up to 35 feet.
  • Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 50 pounds on a continuous basis.
  • Demonstrates skills in problem solving, attention to detail, basic math, and reading/writing comprehension.
