Location: Springboro, OHFull-TimeSchedule: 1st ShiftAbout UsSunstar Engineering Americas (SEA), a highly successful manufacturer of automotive adhesives, sealants, and coating products, is seeking an experienced individual to join our team.About the PositionPerform duties to supervise all Warehouse and Dock associates ensuring safety, environmental compliance, quality, cost, and efficiency.Specific Duties & ResponsibilitiesSupervisory Duties
- Maintain safe operating practices and implement company safety programs.
- Lead daily activities, monitor KPIs, and support continuous improvement initiatives.
- Manage, train, and evaluate team members while addressing performance issues.
- Conduct performance reviews and recommend hiring or temporary placements.
- Escalate significant issues (e.g., injuries, product rejections, downtime) to the Manufacturing Manager.
- Coordinate and monitor assigned projects within approved budgets.
Warehouse Duties
- Ensure accurate receiving, storage, and shipping of materials to meet schedules.
- Standardize dock activities and optimize workflows for supply chain efficiency.
- Review schedules to prioritize tasks and recommend overtime as required.
- Maintain inventory accuracy and lead physical and cycle counts.
Inventory Control Duties
- Maintain inventory accuracy through proper staging and scanning practices.
- Implement frequent cycle counts to replace full physical inventory counts.
Training and Development
- Facilitate on-the-job training and support new hire orientation and compliance training.
Quality and Continuous Improvement
- Investigate and address corrective actions for internal problems and customer complaints.
- Drive continuous improvement projects focused on efficiency, sustainability, and effectiveness.
- Support special R&D and Quality Department requirements, including rework and shipping.
Requirements
- 4-6 years in manufacturing/warehousing, including 2+ years in a supervisory role or equivalent experience.
