Job summary

Appalachian Regional Healthcare (ARH) is seeking a Disaster Relief Center Warehouse Inventory Specialist to manage inventory operations, cataloguing, and categorization to ensure smooth warehouse workflow in Lexington, KY.

You will receive, inspect, and record supplies, maintain records, perform counts, and coordinate with procurement to keep critical items in stock while adhering to safety standards. Forklift certification preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; associate degree preferred.
• 2+ years in warehouse, inventory, or logistics operations.
• Proficiency with inventory management systems and basic MS Office.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.
• Forklift certification preferred or required depending on role.

Responsibilities

• Receive, inspect, and record incoming supplies and materials.
• Maintain accurate inventory records using WMS or spreadsheets.
• Conduct regular inventory counts and audits for accuracy.
• Organize and label inventory for efficient access.
• Issue and distribute supplies to DRC staff and areas as needed.
• Track usage and restocking needs to avoid shortages.
• Coordinate with procurement and logistics for replenishment.
• Ensure storage and handling meet safety standards.
• Assist with warehouse layout planning to optimize space.
• Prepare reports on stock levels, discrepancies, and damages.
• Operate forklifts or pallet jacks if certified.
• Support disaster mobilization and redeployment of DRC assets.
