Job summary

CalPortland is seeking a Warehouse Person to receive, store, and issue operating and maintenance supplies, ship equipment from the plant, input purchase orders, process invoices, and maintain an orderly storeroom.

The role requires cement plant knowledge, experience with SAP, ability to lift heavy loads, and strong bookkeeping and clerical skills. We offer competitive health benefits, a retirement plan, and paid time off.

Qualifications

• Cement plant equipment knowledge and warehouse storage systems
• Experience using SAP for inventory and purchasing
• Strong bookkeeping, clerical, and computer skills
• Ability to communicate effectively; strong interpersonal skills
• Able to lift large and heavy loads safely and access all plant areas

Responsibilities

• Receives, stocks, issues and inspects incoming materials, verifying with purchase orders and notifying Purchasing of discrepancies
• Assist in physical inventory, filing, typing, and other accounting duties; maintains inventory reports and storeroom records
• Package and ship material for shipments from the plant and maintains related files
• Assist Storekeeper in applying and operating the data processing system in the storeroom
• Keeps work area clean and organized
• Maintain MSR files to ensure credits from vendors
• Supports Maintenance, Accounts Payable, and Purchasing
• Perform accounts payable duties
• Operate forklift
