Job summary

City of Alexandria is seeking a Warehouse Worker to lead daily warehouse operations, receive and distribute supplies, and maintain accurate records.

You will operate a forklift safely, monitor inventory levels, prepare purchase orders, and coordinate with city staff to ensure timely delivery of materials.

A high school diploma or GED and at least one year of warehouse experience are required, along with a valid driver's license.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required, plus one year of warehouse or forklift experience.
• Must possess a valid driver’s license; Louisiana license required at appointment.

Responsibilities

• Lead warehouse operations in accordance with policies and schedules.
• Receive, store, and distribute a variety of supplies and equipment; prepare purchase orders and logs.
• Monitor inventory levels and perform periodic physical inventories; maintain records.
• Operate forklift and other warehouse equipment safely; ensure compliance with safety procedures.
• Communicate with supervisor and staff to coordinate work and resolve issues.
