Job summary

Compass Group USA's Levy division seeks a warehouse/material handler to receive, store and distribute materials in a fast-paced environment. You will read schedules and orders to determine items to move, and coordinate with production and shipping to prepare orders for distribution.

The role emphasizes inventory accuracy, adherence to HACCP standards, and safe handling. Candidates should be reliable, detail-oriented, and able to operate within a team, following company policies.

Responsibilities

• Reads production schedule, customer order, work order, or requisition to determine items to be moved or distributed.
• Conveys materials from receiving or production areas to storage or other designated areas.
• Places materials on racks, shelves and bins or in refrigerated rooms according to sequence such as size, type, color or product code.
• Fills requisitions, work orders or requests for materials and distributes items to production workers or the assembly line.
• Assembles customer orders from stock and places orders on pallets or shelves; conveys orders to packing/shipping.
• Records amounts of materials received or distributed.
• Maintains inventory records and ensures proper handling and temperatures; follows HACCP standards.
• Uses computer to enter records and compiles worksheets from customer specifications.
