Mitchell Companies is seeking an Inventory Specialist to maintain accurate inventory levels and support warehouse operations in Nottingham, MD. The role focuses on counting, receiving, documenting, and maintaining inventory throughout the warehouse.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED equivalent; some college preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to inventory accuracy.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Strong time management and problem-solving abilities.
• Proficient computer skills and the ability to learn and use inventory management systems.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced warehouse environment.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily cycle counts of designated products, including lineside and backstock inventory.
• Investigate inventory discrepancies and process necessary adjustments to maintain accurate records.
• Create and update inventory locations for new products and changes in storage capacity.
• Process inbound purchase orders and verify inventory received into the warehouse system.
• Document and process claims for damaged products or supplier-related issues identified during receiving.
• Monitor warehouse equipment and communicate potential issues that may impact inventory or operations.
• Communicate daily with warehouse management regarding inventory discrepancies, equipment concerns, and operational issues.
• Maintain accurate documentation related to inventory counts, adjustments, and investigations.
• Assist with special projects, process improvements, and other operational requests.
• Perform other warehouse-related duties as assigned by management.
