Job summary

Peninsula Light Company is hiring for a warehouse technician to support day-to-day warehouse operations including receiving, stocking, and deliveries. You will assist with purchase orders, material lists, and inventory projections, while maintaining safety standards and proper documentation.

The role requires forklift operation, ability to lift up to 75 pounds, and a valid Washington CDL or ability to obtain one within 6 months.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Must maintain Washington state CDL endorsement (Class-A preferred) or ability to obtain within 6 months.
  • CPR and first aid certifications preferred.
  • Experience with basic recordkeeping and inventory control is essential.
  • Knowledge of safety regulations and proper use of PPE.

Responsibilities

  • Perform day-to-day warehouse activities including receiving, unloading freight, issuing slips, stocking, and deliveries.
  • Assist in maintaining accurate purchase orders, materials lists, and inventory projections.
  • Support inventory control, salvage and return processing; monitor lead times for high-value items.
  • Evaluate freight rates, delivery promptness, and order accuracy.
  • Maintain logs and documents for inventory, shipping, and tracking information.
  • Operate forklift, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment as needed.
  • Assist in field work by assembling items from inventory for jobs and delivering supplies to the field.
