Job summary

Mr. Electric of Charlotte Metro is seeking a Warehouse & Inventory Lead to direct daily warehouse operations, inventory control, and field-readiness support. This hands-on leadership role emphasizes accountability, process improvement, and proactive problem solving to keep materials flowing for service pros and installers.

You'll work with a team to implement updated systems, standardize procedures, and ensure cycles counts, stock levels, and material readiness meet daily demand.

Qualifications

• Experience in warehouse operations, inventory control, or related environment.
• Leadership or supervisory experience strongly preferred.
• Experience with inventory-management software is a plus.
• Electrical experience is helpful, but not required.

Mr. Electric of Charlotte Metro is looking for an organized, dependable, and proactive Warehouse & Inventory Lead to help lead the day-to-day operation of our warehouse, inventory, material readiness, and field-support systems.

This is a hands-on leadership position working alongside our existing warehouse support team. We aren't looking for someone who wants to manage from behind a desk. We need someone who is comfortable setting priorities, jumping in when needed, following through, and helping create accountability.

Our warehouse and inventory systems are currently being updated and streamlined with increased automation, standardized procedures, and improved inventory controls. You'll help oversee these systems, make sure they're being followed consistently, and identify opportunities to make them even better.

What You’ll Help Lead

Warehouse & Inventory Operations

• Help oversee the daily organization and operation of the warehouse
• Work with warehouse support staff to maintain accurate inventory counts and records
• Ensure established processes for receiving, labeling, storing, tracking, and staging materials are followed
• Help maintain established minimum and maximum inventory levels
• Identify inventory discrepancies and coordinate their resolution
• Help maintain a clean, safe, organized, and efficient warehouse
• Ensure established inventory-management procedures are followed consistently
• Assist with cycle counts and inventory audits
• Identify practical opportunities to improve warehouse efficiency without unnecessarily complicating established systems

Field Requests & Material Readiness

• Help ensure field material requests are acknowledged and completed with urgency
• Coordinate with warehouse support staff to stage materials accurately and on time
• Help ensure Service Professionals and Installers have the materials they need before scheduled work
• Identify and address recurring issues that lead to unnecessary supply-house trips
• Communicate proactively when materials are unavailable, delayed, or require another solution
• Follow up on requests to ensure they are completed rather than simply assigned

Truck Stock & Replenishment

• Help maintain standardized truck-stock inventory
• Coordinate scheduled truck inventory checks
• Help oversee replenishment of commonly used parts and materials
• Monitor stock levels and identify recurring shortages, overstock, loss, or discrepancies
• Reinforce established material-tracking procedures with the field team
• Help ensure materials used from warehouse and truck inventory are properly accounted for

Daily Leadership & Accountability

• Work alongside warehouse support staff to establish clear daily priorities
• Help divide and coordinate warehouse responsibilities
• Follow up to make sure assigned work and field requests are completed
• Address any recurring lack of urgency, incomplete work, and process failures
• Communicate concerns to management before they become larger problems
• Provide consistency, structure, and accountability within the warehouse
• Step in and work alongside the team when needed

Our warehouse should be organized, materials should be where they’re supposed to be, and our inventory-management system should accurately reflect what we have.

Material Readiness

Our field team should be able to start scheduled work with the materials they need. Preventable supply-house trips, missing materials, and last-minute scrambling should be the exception, not the norm.

Follow-Through

Requests aren’t complete because someone was told about them. They’re complete when the materials are ready and the field team has what they need.

Accountability & Communication

Problems will happen. What matters is identifying them early, communicating clearly, finding a solution, and preventing the same issue from becoming a recurring problem.

Continuous Improvement

We’re looking for someone who can follow established systems while also recognizing practical opportunities to make our warehouse and inventory processes more efficient.

Experience We’re Looking For

Previous experience in warehouse operations, inventory control, inventory management, parts management, material coordination, receiving, distribution, stock replenishment, or a related environment is preferred.

Experience in any of the following industries could translate well to this position:

• Construction or home services
• Electrical, HVAC, or plumbing supply
• Automotive parts
• Fleet or vehicle inventory
• Distribution or fulfillment
• Facilities or maintenance operations
• Parts or equipment management

Previous leadership, team lead, or supervisory experience is strongly preferred.

Experience with inventory-management software, warehouse management systems (WMS), cycle counts, stock-level management, receiving, replenishment, or material tracking is a plus.

Electrical experience is helpful, but it is not required.

We're more interested in your ability to organize, lead, communicate, execute, and create accountability than whether you already know the difference between every electrical part on our shelves.

Pay & Benefits

$25.00–$30.00 per hour, based on experience

What Success Looks Like

Within your first 90 days, you should have a strong understanding of our warehouse and inventory systems and be actively helping the team maintain them consistently.

You’ll help establish clear daily priorities, improve follow-through on field requests, maintain consistent truck-stock and replenishment routines, identify recurring inventory discrepancies, and reduce preventable material shortages.

You’ll also become someone our warehouse, office, and field teams can rely on to communicate, follow through, and help solve problems when something doesn’t go according to plan.
