Job summary

ABB in Phoenix, AZ is seeking a Warehouse Associate to handle Receiving, Order filling and Shipping with emphasis on safety, quality and productivity. You will verify vendor documentation, manage inventory, and prepare orders for shipment while maintaining housekeeping standards.

Ideal candidates have a High School Diploma and 2 years in a manufacturing or distribution setting, plus the ability to lift up to 40 pounds, stand for long periods and operate power industrial equipment as needed.

Responsibilities

• Receive and verify documentation, sku numbers, quantities and overall quality from vendors and stock product into bulk locations and consolidate by sku numbers.
• Pull bulk product and place in pick zones, consult with Inventory Control to resolve stock issues, and retrieve specified product to ship.
• Transfer cartons from shipping lanes to pallets, meet department quality/productivity standards, and operate power industrial equipment as needed.
• Other duties as needed or assigned.

Your Role And Responsibilities

Responsible for Receiving, Order filling and Shipping job functions while placing focus on safety, quality, productivity and housekeeping to meet daily goals and objectives. Typical duties/responsibilities for quality may include, but are not limited to, the following:

• Receive and verify documentation, sku #, quantities and overall quality from vendors and stock product from vendors and plants into bulk locations and consolidate product with the same sku #’s in bulk locations
• Pull bulk product and place in pick zones, consult with Inventory Control in resolving stock issues, and retrieve specified product from pick locations to ship
• Transfer cartons from shipping lanes to stack onto pallets for loading, meet and maintain department quality/productivity standards, and able and certified to drive power industrial equipment as needed
• Other duties as deemed necessary or assigned.

Qualifications For The Role

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 2 years experience preferred in manufacturing/distribution environment, basic computer skills and understanding of overall distribution operations, and ability to read and comprehend information and count inventory accurately.
• Ability to work in 3-level modules - Not afraid of height, ability to lift up to 40 pounds repetitively and frequently, ability to stand/walk for extended periods of time and climb stairs throughout shift.
• Flexible to work overtime with little or no notice.
