Job summary

Ahead, LLC is seeking an Inbound Warehouse Lead to oversee the receipt and processing of goods at our New Bedford facility. You will verify deliveries, manage put-away, and ensure accuracy and quality of incoming inventory per company SOPs.

Responsibilities include maintaining receiving logs, coordinating with carriers, and supporting cycle counts. A Class D license and PIT experience are required, with a focus on timely, accurate order fulfillment.

Qualifications

• Warehouse receiving experience preferred.
• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Class D driver’s license required.
• PIT experience (Order Processor, Forklift, Electric Pallet Jack) required.

Responsibilities

• Oversee inbound receiving and processing per SOPs.
• Verify deliveries against purchase orders and assess damage.
• Coordinate put-away and placement of stock for future orders.
• Maintain a Receiving Log and document via WMS.
• Coordinate with transport and storage for deliveries.
• Support cycle counts and load moves as needed.
• Monitor replenishments in pick locations.

Job description

The Warehouse Lead for Inbound will be responsible for overseeing the receiving and processing of incoming goods. They will verify deliveries against the purchase orders, check for damage and accuracy of delivered inventory, and coordinate placement of the stock within the warehouse to hold for future customer orders. They will perform these functions in accordance to the SOP’s (Standard Operation Procedures) of the company. Successful completion of these duties is an essential component in ensuring company-wide goals and on-time delivery of orders to our valued customers.

SCHEDULE - 7:00 am – 3:30 pm Monday – Friday with Overtime (Saturday 7am – noon) as required.

LOCATION - 270 Samuel Barnet Blvd, New Bedford, MA 02745

DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Ability to complete any aspect of a Warehouse Associate I or II task or assignment
• Communicates with storage warehouse for exchange of product
• Knowledge of storage warehouse to give support when needed for deliveries
• Completes the unloading process of all incoming freight in the facility including DHL, UPS, Fed Ex and Air or Sea shipment containers
• Maintains a Receiving Log of all goods that have been taken in each day
• Verifies accuracy and quality of incoming goods to be manifested
• Processes and closes manifest number assigned by the PIC into Warehouse Management System (WMS)
• Coordinates delivery and put-away of received goods with appropriate parties
• Monitors replenishments needed in pick locations

MARGINAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

• Warehouse receiving experience preferred
• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred
• Class D driver’s license required
• Power Industrial Tool (PIT) experience required (Order Processor, Forklift, Electric Pallet Jack)

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

-Ability to sit or stand for extended periods of time

-Ability to reach and use hands, fingers, and arms

-Ability to move about the facility

-Ability to climb, bend, kneel, and crouch

-Ability to lift up to 50lbs

-Ability to wear personal protective equipment (PPE) as needed

WORK ENVIRONMENT:
