Job summary

Sid Wainer is seeking a dedicated Warehouse Worker to support our New Bedford facility. You will pick, pack, assemble, sort, ship, and receive orders to meet productivity and quality goals.

The role requires operating an electric pallet jack and stand‑up forklift, and occasionally working at heights with a cherry picker secured by a harness. You will coordinate with receivers, drivers, and forklift teams while maintaining safety standards and company PPE usage.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Responsibilities

• Reads production schedules, customer orders, and shipping orders to determine items to move or distribute.
• Moves materials from receiving or production areas to storage or designated locations.
• Sorts and breaks down product by SKU, quantity, and type.
• Operate electric pallet jack and stand-up forklift as required.
• Ascend up to 25 ft on cherry picker using a safety harness when needed.
• Communicate effectively with receivers, drivers, and forklift operators.
• Follow safety practices for truck and trailer pull processes daily.
• Sort and store goods in designated warehouse areas.
• Handle company equipment and PPE responsibly and report safety concerns promptly.
• Wear company-issued uniform and prepare orders for shipping.

Position Summary

As a Warehouse Worker, you will be responsible for providing warehouse support including picking, packing, assembly, sorting, shipping, and receiving of orders to meet the facility's productivity and quality goals within the establishment.

What You'll Do

• Reads production schedule, customer order, work order, shipping order, or requisition to determine items to be moved, gathered, or distributed.
• Moves materials and items from receiving or production areas to storage or to other designated areas.
• Sorts and breaks down product by SKU, quantity and product type.
• Ability to use electric pallet jack as well as stand-up forklift is a must.
• Required to frequently ascend 25ft on cherry picker in a safety harness.
• Effectively communicate with Receivers, Drivers, Driver Check-in, & Forklift Operators
• Adhering to proper safety practices for truck and trailer pull process on a daily basis.
• Sorts and stores goods in designated areas of the warehouse.
• Responsible for the proper handling of all company issued equipment, including PPE, voice equipment etc.
• Responsible for reporting all safety concerns in the work environment on timely basis.
• Must wear company issued uniform.
• Assembles customer orders from stock and places orders on pallets or shelves, or moves orders to loading dock to prepare for shipping.
• Label pallets with identifying information when instructed.
• Opens bales, crates, and other containers when necessary.

About You

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
