Job summary

Palmer Food Services in Rochester, NY is seeking a Warehouse Image Control Associate to perform cleaning, sorting, pallet handling and general warehouse duties. The role supports our operations by maintaining a safe and organized environment and following cleaning procedures.

Candidates should have HS diploma or GED, be able to lift up to 100 lbs, and work Monday–Friday 8:00 AM–4:30 PM, with opportunities for advancement within our established company through performance and teamwork.

Qualifications

• Must have basic reading, writing and math skills.
• High school diploma/GED required.
• Must be able to lift up to 100 pounds.
• High attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to work in adverse conditions, indoors or outdoors.

Responsibilities

• Performs all care and cleaning functions of the warehouse including sweeping, vacuuming, mopping, dusting, scrubbing, power washing, and polishing both inside and outside of the building.
• Follows procedures for the use of chemical cleaners and power equipment.
• Mixes water and detergents in containers to prepare cleaning solutions, according to specifications.
• Requests supplies as needed.
• Utilizes compactor and removes trash from various storage areas.
• Utilizes bailer for cardboard.
• Operates pallet jacks and other equipment in a safe and professional manner.
• Assists in special cleaning projects assigned by Manager.
• Stacks and organizes pallets, including loading and storage.
• Communicates and cleans any spills in multiple warehouse storage areas.

• 1-2 years of related experience preferred

$17.00- $18.00/ Hour

Shift:

Monday through Friday 8:00 AM- 4:30 PM

• Must be able to stand, walk, stoop, bend, kneel, sit, operate warehouse
• Must be able to use hands to handle and feel objects, perform fine finger movements, reach with hands and arms, and have the ability to see, talk, and hear.
• Must be able to regularly lift and carry up to 100 lbs on a regular basis
• Ability to work in a cold environment for extended periods with temperatures reaching -10
• Possess normal vision with or without correction and able to distinguish colors
• Possess fluent speech in English, writing and communication skills necessary to effectively carry out job functions
