Job description

As the nation's premier tire distributor, ATD’s coast-to-coast distribution network provides approximately 80,000 customers across the U.S. and Canada with rapid and frequent delivery of high quality tires, custom wheels and shop supplies.

Position Description:

The Warehouse I position will prioritize and pick product to fill orders and stage product for loading, physically move and lift product weighing up to 150 pounds, organize warehouse stock, assist in daily closing of the warehouse, compile and submit reports on damaged, outdated stock, over- and under-shipments, and returns to vendors. The role involves periodic inventory counts, operating powered industrial vehicles (forklifts, pallet jacks, order pickers) safely, and maintaining an operator license if required.

  • Load and unload delivery trucks, handling tires and products weighing up to approximately 50 pounds, with team lifting for heavier items.
  • Operate powered industrial vehicles safely and maintain an operator license if required.
  • Prioritize and pick materials to fill orders and stage products for loading.
  • Verify all incoming and outgoing products for accuracy, inform management of shortages, and assist in inventory counts.
  • Organize warehouse stock by product line and physical location, ensuring sufficient space for overflow.
  • Perform maintenance and custodial tasks, such as cleaning and debris removal, and assist in daily warehouse closing.
  • Compile and submit reports on inventory issues and segregate defective products.
  • Assist in administrative tasks, including paperwork handling and warehouse closing procedures.

Experience(s) that Best Prepares You:
  • High school diploma or GED preferred but not required.
  • Relevant work experience capable of working under general supervision.

Physical Demands/Work Environment/Travel Requirements:
  • Physical demands include standing, walking, sitting, handling objects, reaching, climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, talking, hearing, tasting, smelling, and lifting up to 50 pounds. Handling tires over 50 pounds may be required.
  • Work environment involves exposure to weather conditions and moderate noise levels.
  • Travel requirement is approximately 5% of the time.
