Job summary

H-E-B is seeking a Distribution Partner I to perform general warehouse operations, maintain clean and safe facilities, and support on-time trailer release. You will work with a team, follow SOPs, and help integrate new Partners into the work environment.

The role offers daily shifts in a fast-paced distribution center. Candidates should have a high school diploma or GED, strong organizational skills, and the ability to communicate effectively.

Job Summary

As a Distribution Partner I, you'll perform general Warehouse Operations tasks that keep our facilities clean, safe, operating, and organized. If you're hard-working, dependable, and interested in career growth at H-E-B, this job may be the right first step!

Key Responsibilities & Essential Functions
  • Warehouse Operations:
    • Performs work tasks in a safe manner, in accordance with work instructions; proactively takes action to improve safety
    • Proactively assists other Partners through their own actions, such as sharing information about technical matters, facility-specific knowledge, processes, and procedures
    • Takes action to help assimilate fellow Partners into the work environment as opportunities present themselves
    • Completes work assignments in a timely manner; uses time efficiently and productively in support of facility goals for on-time release of trailers
    • Operates equipment per Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to prevent equipment and facility damage
    • Maintains a clean and safe work area at all times
    • Properly load empty pallets into automated system (Automated facilities only)
    • Haulers: Hauls product from the receiving dock to the appropriate aisle for the Lift Operator to put away
  • Sanitation (Housekeeping):
    • Accurately cleans and organizes assigned areas in compliance with Sanitary Food Transportation Act (SFTA) and Food Safety Modernization Act (FSMA) regulations
    • Performs work assignments per SOPs
    • Recovers as much damage as possible

Education

Physical Demands & Working Conditions
  • Lift, stand, walk, squat for extended periods
  • Repetitively lift up to 60 lbs for the duration of a shift
  • Work in a cold environment, if assigned to a Refrigerated (34°) / Frozen (-10°) facility
  • Work extended shifts and fluctuating hours and days, including weeks, nights, holidays
