We need hard‐working partners with energy to help ensure our Store teams have the product they need to stock H‑E‑B shelves and feed Texans. As a Distribution Partner II, you will work in a fast‑paced warehouse environment and become part of a highly functioning Warehouse Team. You will select orders, stock, or operate a forklift and may grow into other roles within H‑E‑B.
Responsibilities
- Select cases of products and organize them on pallets to be sent to H‑E‑B Stores.
- Prioritize accuracy and quality in work assignments.
- Perform work tasks safely, following instructions and proactively addressing safety issues.
- Assist other partners by sharing information about technical matters and processes.
- Complete assignments in a timely manner; use time efficiently to support on‑time trailer release.
- Ensure work meets individual, team, and facility productivity goals.
- Operate equipment per SOPs to prevent damage.
- Maintain a clean and well‑maintained work environment.
- For Order Selectors: select orders for shipment in an organized, clean, accurate, damage‑free manner; properly mark and tag orders with shipment information.
- For Forklift Operators: properly insert and remove product from assigned slots; complete assignments cleanly, accurately, and damage‑free.
- For Loaders: load items in an organized, clean, accurate, damage‑free manner.
- Support automated distribution by managing end‑to‑end process flow from reusable store assets to completed store orders.
Stocking
- Open master cases, verify product against assigned location, and fill selection lanes for pick‑to‑light selection.
What is your background?
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Experience working in a fast‑paced environment.
- Experience in a physically demanding job is a plus.
Qualifications
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Basic math skills (+, -, ×, ÷); reading and writing skills.
- Verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work in a team‑based environment and promote positive change.
- Ability to operate machines or equipment safely and independently.
- Ability to learn and understand H‑E‑B in‑house systems.
- Ability to work with little or no supervision.
- Dependability and commitment to safety.
Physical Requirements
- Lift, stand, walk, squat for extended periods.
- Repetitively lift up to 60 lbs for the duration of a shift.
- Work in a cold environment, if assigned to a refrigerated (‑10°C) facility.
- Work extended shifts and fluctuating hours and days, including weekends, nights, and holidays.
