Job summary

JBT Marel Corporation in Buford, GA is seeking a Warehouse Associate to support receiving, stocking, counting, picking and shipping in a fast-paced, multi-product distribution center. You will assist with discrepancies and prepare shipments per written instructions, including crate assembly and protective packing.

The role requires flexibility for overtime, weekends, and evenings as part of a 24/7 standby rotation.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Familiar with fundamental concepts, practices, procedures in warehousing and shipping.
• Planning skills and interpersonal skills in order to interact with co-workers in a team-based environment.
• Ability to handle multiple tasks using evaluation skills and ingenuity to recommend solutions in a high-volume environment.
• PC experience including knowledge of word processing and spreadsheet software preferred.
• Flexibility to work some overtime during weekdays, and to a lesser degree, mandatory weekends and holidays occasionally.

Responsibilities

• Receive, stock, count, pick, ship and ship in our multi-product line distribution center for JBT Marel in Alpharetta, GA.
• Assist with problem resolution involving discrepancies between quantity ordered, received, and/or shipped.
• Pull parts, material, or finished goods from inventory for shipment or production per written instructions; count/weigh and record units; enter into computer on manual documentation.
• Determine size and type of container needed for shipping; assemble crates as needed; insert product into bags/containers with spacers, fillers and padding.
• Load and unload material from pallets, trays, racks, and shelves; stock inventory according to safety procedures; verify bin locations; create inventory locations and labels.

Counts/weighs and records number of units and enters into computer on manual documentation. Keeps accurate records of all incoming and outgoing material, parts, and/or finished goods.· Determines size and type of container needed for shipping. May use hand and/or power tools to assemble shipping crates according to customer and company specifications. Inserts product into bags/containers using spacers, fillers, and protective padding per customer and company specifications.· Loads and unloads of material from pallets, trays, racks, and shelves by hand and with material handling equipment. Stocks inventory according to established safety and operating procedures. Verifies correct bin location.
