Job summary

Midwest Hose & Specialty is seeking a Warehouse Hose Technician in Oklahoma City to assemble, process, and ship hose orders with accuracy and safety. You will support receiving, inventory, and order fulfillment while keeping a clean work area and following ERP workflows.

The role requires forklift operation experience, high attention to detail, and adherence to safety practices. The position offers a standard Monday–Friday schedule, with potential for overtime to meet daily order demands.

Qualifications

• Prior warehouse experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform hose assembly, measurement, cutting, and crimping with proper tools.
• Prepare orders and packaging for delivery.
• Assist in receiving, inventory tracking, and ERP-based stock management.
• Operate forklifts and pallet jacks following safety guidelines.
• Maintain clean, organized workspace and adhere to safety standards.

Shift Hours: 7am-5pmSummary of PositionThe Warehouse Hose Technician performs a combination of warehouse, inventory control, and hose assembly responsibilities. This role involves preparing, assembling, and processing hose orders while ensuring a high level of accuracy, safety, and efficiency in the warehouse environment. The technician will also support shipping, receiving, and order fulfillment while maintaining a clean and organized workspace.Roles and ResponsibilitiesHose Assembly & Processing:Perform complete hose assembly, including measuring, cutting, and crimping hoses using proper toolsEnsure quality by examining connections, fastening parts, and following assembly guidelinesPrepare orders by coiling hoses and packaging for customer deliveryDocument work by completing production and quality control formsWarehouse & Inventory Control:Assist in receiving shipments, organizing stock, and replenishing inventoryTrack and manage proprietary product inventory through an ERP systemSort and place materials on racks, shelves, or bins following Midwest Hose organizational standardsMaintain accurate order logs and perform inventory counts as neededEquipment Operation & Safety:Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other warehouse equipmentLoad and unload trucks following OSHA safety guidelinesMaintain a safe, clean, and organized workspaceWear appropriate PPE (gloves, eye protection, steel-toe boots) and report workplace hazardsCustomer & Team Support:Occasionally interact with customers for quick-turnaround hose ordersProvide excellent customer service with a professional and positive attitudeWork as part of a team to ensure timely order fulfillment and smooth warehouse operationsPerform other duties as assignedQualifications & RequirementsHigh School diploma or GED (Required)Prior warehouse experience (Required)Hose assembly experience (Preferred)Forklift certification or willingness to become certified (Required)Ability to read and follow assembly instructions, work orders, and inventory logsProficient in using MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)Strong attention to detail and organizational skillsReliable, team-oriented, and able to prioritize tasks efficientlyAbility to lift, push, or pull up to 50 lbs.in adherence with Midwest Hose Safety StandardsAbility to work in a physically demanding warehouse environment, including prolonged standing, walking, bending, and exposure to temperature changesWillingness to work additional hours as needed to meet daily order demandsSchedule:Monday – Friday | 7:00 AM – 5:00 PMThis role is classified as safety-sensitive, meaning employees must be medically fit to perform essential functions and may be required to complete a fitness-for-duty evaluation if necessary.About Us:Midwest Hose is one of the largest hose and fitting wholesale distributors in North America.
