Job summary

Midwest-Hose- is seeking a Hose Technician to perform the full hose assembly process in our facility. You will prepare parts, operate hoses tools, and verify connections for quality.

The role involves inventory control using ERP and maintaining a clean, safe workspace while meeting daily production goals. The ideal candidate has warehouse experience and strong customer-service skills, with ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 100 lbs.

Qualifications

  • High School diploma or GED required.
  • Prior warehouse experience preferred.
  • Prior hose assembly experience preferred.
  • Forklift experience preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

  • Assemble hoses from instructions and parts lists.
  • Prepare work by gathering parts and materials.
  • Document actions using production and quality forms.
  • Coil hose for delivery to customer.
  • Provide inventory control and track inventory via ERP.
  • Maintain a safe, clean work environment.
  • Assist with other duties as needed.

Hose TechnicianSummary of Position:Perform complete hose assembly process, provide inventory control, ensure sales goals are met.Our Hose Technician performs the complete hose assembly process at our state of the art facility in Bakersfield, CA. The Tech will at times work with customers and clients needing fast turn arounds. This position is equipped with the latest tools and technology to make hose building efficient and professional. Ideal applicants would have prior warehouse experience, and have had experience working in a customer service role.Roles and Responsibilities:Hose assembly processPrepare work to be accomplished by studying assembly instructions, and parts lists; gather parts, subassemblies, and materialsSelect and use proper tools and equipment for each task such as saws, crimpers, tape measures and calipersAssembles components by examining connections for correct fit; fastening parts and subassembliesIdentify and select proper parts to assemble a wide variety of hosesDocument actions by completing production and quality formsCoil hose as required to prepare for delivery to customerProvide inventory control on proprietary products and components; keep track of inventory via ERP systemMaintain safe and clean work environmentMaintain professionalism in the work placePerform any other assigned proprietary dutiesQualifications and Requirements:Good reading and writing skillsSolid computer skills such as typing and navigation through various computer programs including MS Outlook, Excel, and WindowsGreat verbal and written communication skillsCompassionate and patient customer service skillsHigh attention to detailActive listening skillsCommitment to work additional hours as needed to complete orders received dailyEnergetic, outgoing, and positive attitudeGood organization skillsReliable and dependableProlonged standing, walking, stooping, bending, lifting 100% daily (subject to change daily)Assist in lifting, pushing, and/or pulling up to 70 lbs.; receiving unloads up to 100%; order pulling up to 100%Must be able to meet the physical demands typical in a warehouse environment including but not limited to grasping and fine manipulations with hands, reaching, squatting, climbing, activities working around moving machinery, exposure to marked changes in temperature and humidity, exposure to light dust and fumesTeam-playerAbility to prioritize and manage timeEducation and Experience:High School diploma or GED (required)Prior warehouse experience (preferred)Prior hose assembly experience (preferred)Forklift experience (preferred but not required)Additional power equipment experience (preferred but not required)Schedule: Monday-Friday, 7:00am-5:00pm
