Job summary

Staffmark Group is hiring a Warehouse Helper in New Iberia, LA. The role supports warehouse operations through picking, packing, shipping, receiving, and inventory handling to ensure orders are completed safely and accurately.

The position requires a high school diploma or GED (preferred) and at least 1 year of warehouse experience. Forklift experience and basic computer skills are beneficial for daily tasks and inventory control.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Load, unload, and sort materials and inventory.
• Use handheld scanners to locate and track inventory.
• Perform daily cycle counts and maintain inventory accuracy.
• Manage and monitor cylinder inventory levels.
• Generate and review inventory reports.
• Accurately pick, stage, and prepare customer orders.
• Safely operate a forklift in a warehouse environment.
• Follow all company safety policies and procedures.
• Work independently while maintaining productivity.
• Collaborate with team members to support warehouse operations.

Pay Rate: $19.00 per hour

Shift: First | 7 AM - 5 PM

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous warehouse, distribution center, fulfillment, manufacturing, or logistics experience is preferred.

• Knowledge of warehouse management systems (WMS), inventory procedures, shipping software, or RF scanning equipment is considered an asset.


• Individuals who demonstrate reliability, adaptability, teamwork, and attention to detail are well positioned for success as a Warehouse Helper.

Physical Capabilities

• Ability to stand, walk, bend, reach, and perform repetitive warehouse tasks throughout the shift.


• Ability to lift, carry, push, or pull materials and packages weighing up to 50 pounds.


• Ability to safely work around warehouse equipment, conveyors, and moving inventory.


• Ability to maintain productivity while working in warehouse and distribution environments.
