Job Description
As a Warehouse Handler, you will play a foundational role in the execution of daily warehouse operations within our global supply chain network. This position is responsible for physical inventory handling, accuracy in order fulfillment, receiving activities, and support of continuous warehouse improvements. You will ensure timely movement and documentation of materials to support production, sales, and distribution requirements. Your focus will be on operational precision, safety, and maintaining a clean and organized environment. This is a hands-on, execution-focused role for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, high-standards supply chain organization. Key responsibilities are outlined below.
Site Operations And Inventory Handling
- Support the day-to-day movement of goods in and out of the warehouse, including receiving, stocking, picking, and shipping.
- Accurately verify incoming shipments against purchase orders and inspect for damage or discrepancies; record and label items appropriately.
- Pick, pack, and stage outbound shipments in line with shipping schedules and quality standards.
- Perform routine cycle counts and participate in full inventory audits to ensure alignment with system records.
- Operate, if required, pallet jacks, forklifts, or other equipment (as certified) to move inventory safely within the facility.
Inventory Management Support
- Alert supervisors when inventory levels are low or nearing reorder points.
- Ensure accurate labeling, documentation, and system updates for all inventory movements.
- Support the proper handling and documentation of returned goods and non-conforming inventory.
Logistics And Shipping Coordination
- Assist with preparing products for shipment, including appropriate packaging and labeling for domestic and international destinations.
- Support communication with freight providers to ensure timely pickups and deliveries.
- Ensure shipping paperwork (BOLs, packing slips, export documents) is complete and correct.
Data Accuracy And Compliance
- Enter data into warehouse or ERP systems accurately to reflect physical inventory movements.
- Follow all safety procedures, company policies, and regulatory requirements (including GMP or biosecurity guidelines as applicable).
- Provide feedback on process inefficiencies and participate in improvement initiatives led by supervisors or the Supply Chain team.
Organizational Alignment
This position reports directly to the Warehouse and/or Supply Chain Supervisor. You will work closely with team leads, warehouse coordinators, customer service, procurement, and logistics personnel to support the effective movement of materials and inventory accuracy across the network.
Requirements
- Effective verbal and written communication abilities
- Proficient in building relationships and providing excellent customer service
- Strong organizational skills, particularly in managing details crucial to the supply chain process
- Demonstrated ability to drive and adapt to changes in the dynamic environment
- Excellent time management to meet critical deadlines in the fast-paced industry
- Proficiency in utilizing supply chain systems, data analysis tools, such as a TMS, WMS, MiniTab, Power BI, Qlikview and ERP (JDE)
Education & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or related field preferred
- Highly valued: Advanced degrees or certifications (e.g., APICS, CSCP)
- Highly valued: Demonstrated experience working in JDE
- Proven ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and external partners
- Track record of effectively identifying and solving supply chain challenges
- Proficient in data analysis tools and techniques.
- Familiarity with scanning tools, inventory systems, and basic Microsoft Office functions
