Job summary

OTC Industrial in Baton Rouge, LA is seeking a Warehouse Generalist. The role involves filling, packing and processing stock, handling inbound/outbound shipments, backorder review, and packaging of work orders.

You will put away stock, assign bin locations and maintain shipping/receiving housekeeping. The ideal candidate has a high school diploma or GED, 0-2 years in a warehouse setting, and the ability to lift 50 lbs.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 0-2 years experience in the industrial industry and/or warehouse role.
• Able to properly lift 50lbs.
• Able to sit, stand or walk for long periods of time.
• Strong sense of urgency.
• A commitment to the concept of “doing it right the first time".
• Able to operate a forklift.
• Knowledge of CSD/Sx a Plus.
• 5S/6S a plus.
• Proficient with MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Fill, package and process stock packing slips from regular print jobs.
• Process inbound and outbound UPS, Fed Ex and misc. carrier packages.
• Review backorder fill from all receipts.
• Process outbound packages or stage material accordingly.
• Packaging and staging of work orders.

• May assemble value add components without assistance.
• Call customers to pick up will call packages.
• Provide assistance to techs and salesmen as needed.
• Performs cycle/inventory counts.
• Back up all other warehouse responsibilities.
