Job summary

Custom Goods Logistics is seeking a General Manager to lead the warehouse and logistics operation on-site in California. This senior role oversees all facets of operations, safety, labor, and financial health, with accountability for customer satisfaction and strategic growth.

The GM will partner with HR and cross-functional teams to drive continuous improvement, budget planning, and strong leadership visibility across shifts and departments to ensure top performance and client satisfaction.

Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree from a four-year college/university.
5+ years managing a logistics and supply chain distribution network.
Proven ability to measure and perform against internal expectations, industry standards, WMS and safety programs.
Excellent interpersonal and written communication skills.
Ability to develop and maintain collaborative relations across all levels of an organization.
Experience with operating budgets and cost reduction initiatives.

Responsibilities

Lead the execution of site strategy and align warehouse performance with goals and customer contracts.
Oversee inbound, outbound, inventory, and value-added operations to meet KPI targets and SLAs.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on productivity, cost control, quality, and service.
Provide Lean leadership and ensure discipline across shifts and teams.
Assume full P&L responsibility for the operation and manage annual budgets and forecasts.
Monitor cost-to-serve, margins, and capacity utilization; implement profitability improvements.
Develop and coach the site leadership team and foster a safety-first culture.
