Job summary

Adept Consulting Services, Inc. is seeking an experienced Warehouse and General Manager to run our warehouse operations and support deployment technicians.

The role emphasizes hands-on leadership, inventory discipline, and operational awareness to keep facilities running smoothly and deployments on schedule. The successful candidate will manage daily activities, train and coach staff, coordinate resources, and maintain accurate inventory records.

Qualifications

  • Hands-on experience managing warehouse, logistics, field operations, inventory, or a similar operational environment.
  • Practical understanding of warehouse organization, receiving, storage, inventory control, equipment staging, and workflow management.
  • Experience with inventory tracking, asset management, receiving, or order fulfillment.
  • Demonstrated experience supervising, training, scheduling, and coordinating employees.
  • Strong organizational, leadership, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Willingness to handle routine, unexpected, and miscellaneous warehouse needs as they arise.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects, deadlines, and employee assignments simultaneously.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and other Microsoft Office applications.
  • Ability to create and maintain detailed spreadsheets, reports, schedules, and operational records.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to communicate expectations clearly and hold employees accountable.
  • Strong attention to detail, particularly when handling equipment, purchase orders, asset records, and sensitive information.
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating closely with deployment technicians, project managers, technical resources, and company leadership.
  • Clean background check is required.
  • Valid driver's license and an acceptable driving record.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily warehouse operations, including receiving, storage, inventory control, equipment preparation, loading, unloading, and returns.
  • Maintain a safe, secure, clean, and organized facility while identifying and addressing operational issues before they affect productivity.
  • Lead, schedule, train, and support employees working across warehouse and field assignments; set clear expectations and promote accountability.
  • Coordinate staffing, equipment, vehicles, and other resources to support project schedules and maintain adequate warehouse coverage.
  • Ensure equipment and inventory records are accurate, complete, and updated; lead periodic inventory counts and resolve discrepancies.
  • Manage company vehicle readiness, maintenance, documentation, and safe-use expectations.
  • Collaborate with project managers, technical staff, vendors, and company leadership to resolve scheduling, equipment, facility, and personnel needs.
  • Monitor operating efficiency, staffing needs, and costs; recommend practical improvements to warehouse processes and team performance.
  • Support hiring, onboarding, employee development, performance management, timekeeping review, and other general operational responsibilities.

Job description

Adept Consulting Services is seeking an experienced, hands-on Warehouse & General Manager to oversee our warehouse operations and deployment technicians. The ideal candidate is a dependable leader who understands how an efficient warehouse should operate and takes ownership of both major responsibilities and routine day-to-day issues. This person should notice organizational, inventory, facility, or workflow concerns and address them before they interfere with warehouse operations or client deployments. Advanced technical expertise is not required. Practical warehouse experience, inventory discipline, operational awareness, and the ability to keep the facility running smoothly are the most important qualifications. The manager should be comfortable overseeing technical processes and working with deployment technicians. This role does have an Assistant Warehouse Manager and Imaging Manager as well for support and delegation.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Previous experience managing an IT hardware, computer deployment, electronics, or technical warehouse operation.
  • Experience using barcode scanners, inventory-management software, asset-tracking databases, or similar systems.
  • Experience developing inventory-counting procedures and investigating inventory discrepancies.
  • Experience managing a team of employees including delegating, motivating, coaching, discipline, etc.
