Job summary

Ryder System, Inc. is hiring a Warehouse General Manager / Group Logistics Manager in Lockbourne, OH to lead a large distribution center and support Ryder E-Commerce. The role is salaried with an annual pay of $125,000–$135,000 and a bonus potential up to 20%.

Schedule is Monday–Friday, 8:00am–5:00pm. Ideal candidates will have extensive experience leading salaried and large hourly teams, with a strong focus on performance culture, staff development, and process optimization.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or higher in business, logistics, supply chain or related field.
• Master's degree preferred.
• 5+ years in supply chain, logistics, warehouse, or related field.
• 5+ years managing and developing direct reports.
• LEAN experience in logistics/transport preferred.
• P&L responsibility experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Set goals, assess skills, and develop staff through IDPs and performance reviews.
• Conduct performance documentation and improvement plans.
• Develop reports and oversee KPI tracking and improvement.
• Ensure staff training in Transportation/Distribution Management.
• Reduce overtime and manage staffing levels to control costs.
• Lead location process improvements and SOX compliance tasks.

Job Summary

We are immediately hiring a Warehouse General Manager / Group Logistics Manager in Lockbourne, OH to support Ryder E-Commerce.

Pay Type: Exempt / Salary paid Twice Per Month

Annual Salary Pay: $125,000-$135,000 per year

Annual Bonus Potential: Up to 20% of base salary

Schedule: Monday-Friday

Hours: 8:00am-5:00pm

Experience leading, coaching, mentoring, and developing leaders in a large DC operation is preferred. Proven track record in fostering a disciplined, performance‑driven culture where employees understand expectations that are measured and reinforced is preferred. Experience managing salaried employees and a large hourly workforce is preferred.

Compensation Information

The compensation offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate’s relevant experience; education, including relevant degrees or certifications; work location; market data/ranges; internal equity; internal salary ranges; etc. The position may also be eligible to receive an annual bonus, commission, and/or long-term incentive plan based on the level and/or type.

Compensation ranges for the position are below:

Essential Functions / Responsibilities

• Goal setting, skills assessment, IDPs, career development, performance evaluation, on-going employee feedback, disciplinary actions.
• Warning Documentation (performance/disciplinary reviews).
• Performance Improvement Plans for CLS.
• Identify situations that needs to be elevated to the director.
• Developing direct and indirect reports.
• Relevant HR Skills Training information.
• Providing on-going employee feedback.
• Conducting quality and effective selection of qualified personnel.
• Maintaining corrective staffing levels to avoid unnecessary use of outside labor.
• Creating location processes and maintaining SCLM.
• Cross-training of CLS and CLC.
• Customer satisfaction/problem resolution.
• Review of KPI tracking and improvement.
• Ensure that all staff is trained in Transportation/Distribution Management.
• Improve employee retention.
• Reduce number of accidents against previous year.
• Ensure that unnecessary overtime is reviewed and reduced.
• Collision/Team Safety Reporting follow up with LM.
• Supervisor First Report of Injury reporting follow up with LM.
• Recommend location process initiation and/or improvement and assign responsibility to CLC/CLS.
• Conduct on-going self-audits of location processes and individual accountabilities.
• SOX invoice reconciliation to FFM designee (if highest level at account).
• SOX revenue recognition preparation FFM designee (if highest level at account).
• Invoice to customer.
• Additional Responsibilities: Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in business, logistics, supply chain or an additional two (2) years of relevant work experience required.
• Master's Degree in related field required.
• 5 years or more in relevant experience in supply chain, logistics, warehouse or industry related field preferred.
• 5 years or more in managing, leading and developing direct reports required.
• 5 years or more in managing large multi-level teams preferred.
• 3 years or more in demonstrated experience in developing and implementing complete logistics solutions and project management skills required.
• 3 years or more in prior experience in leading teams in a LEAN work environment required.
• 3 years or more in Profit & Loss responsibility preferred.
• 1 year or more in managing customer KPIs preferred.
• 0 to 1 year in Some sales experience required.
• 0 to 1 year in Some multi-client experience preferred.
• Knowledge of truck brokerage Advanced preferred.
• RD/Logistics/Transportation industry Advanced preferred.
• Ryder Safety Programs Advanced preferred.
