Job summary

Ryder System, Inc. in Fort Worth, TX seeks a Group Manager Logistics II to oversee multiple accounts with $8M-$11M in revenue. Lead Logistics Managers and drive LEAN initiatives, ensuring safety, growth, and profitability while managing a team across locations.

You will be responsible for P&L for assigned accounts, stakeholder relations, and development of staff. A strong background in logistics and Lean methods is required.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in business, logistics, supply chain or an additional two years of relevant work experience required.
  • Master's degree preferred.
  • Six years or more relevant experience in supply chain, logistics, warehouse or industry related field required.
  • Five years or more managing, leading and developing direct reports required.
  • Two years or more customer interaction required.
  • Two years or more managing customer KPIs required.

Responsibilities

  • Identify and solve operational issues with the account(s) by implementing continuous improvement and LEAN initiatives.
  • Manage one or more customer accounts to meet established metrics and performance expectations.
  • Manage the customer relationship and identify potential opportunities for business growth.
  • Ensure financial objectives are met and grow revenue for assigned account(s).
  • Supervise, develop and manage performance for assigned employees and maintain a positive employee relations environment.
  • Hire, train, supervise, and coach/mentor direct reports and management team.
  • Maintain a proactive safety program within the account(s) consistent with company policy.
  • Manage the profit and loss statements for assigned account(s) and implement actions as needed.
  • Additional responsibilities perform other duties as assigned.

Job Description: Summary

The Group Manager Logistics II is is typically responsible for multiple locations for one large customer or multiple customer accounts with approximately $8M to $11M in operating revenue taking into consideration business complexity. It includes the management and improvement of services provided to the customer(s), as well as the development and implementation of customer performance measurements. May assist with business development initiatives and new locations startups. This position is responsible for leading, guiding, training and directing Logistics Managers (LM), Senior Logistics Managers (SLM), and/or Group Logistics Managers (GLM). This position has profit and loss responsibility for assigned account(s). All work is subject to review by the DCL and Ryder Corporate Process Owners such as Finance, Human Resources, Safety, etc. Error could result in customer dissatisfaction, loss of inventory, loss of profit, safety or security incident.

Essential Functions

  • Four (4) years or more demonstrated experience developing and implementing complete logistics solutions and project management skills required
  • Three (3) years or more prior experience in leading teams in a LEAN work environment preferred
  • Two (2) years or more customer interaction required
  • Two (2) years or more managing customer KPIs required
  • Two (2) years or more experience providing customer and senior level management presentations preferred
  • Some sales experience preferred
  • Some multi-client experience preferred
  • Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of warehouse operations/solutions, distribution, transportation and carrier management at a strategic level. advanced preferred
  • Knowledge of Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) . advanced preferred

Compensation Information

The compensation offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate’s relevant experience; education, including relevant degrees or certificates; work location; market data/ranges; internal equity; internal salary ranges; etc. The position may also be eligible to receive an annual bonus, commission, and/or long-term incentive plan based on the level and/or type. Compensation ranges for the position are below: Pay Type: Salaried Minimum Pay Range: 120000 Maximum Pay Range: 130000
